Poor warranty support from Dell. Don't buy a Dell

I have used Dell for over 20 years, and purchased a brand new Dell Inspiron laptop on the 13th of Jan 2020,and paid almost R9000 for it.

After a few months of barely using it, the backspace key on the keyboard came loose.

I logged a warranty claim with Dell, only to be told that the warranty expired 1 year and something like 90 days ago. Its impossible as I purchased it in Jan 13 2020.

If I go by the actual purchase date, I am two weeks over my warranty. Dell refuses to fix it under warranty and I must pay for the repair.

I will never purchase a Dell product again.
