I am honestly not impressed.
Late last year, I bought a Laptop from a big chain store. It gave me issues from the start, being very slow. I carried on working with it because I needed it for work. Recently, it has been freezing non-stop amongst other issues. When I took it back, I was told that it would take 7 to 21 days to sort out my laptop and that I might lose all of my information.
I was then informed that if I go directly to Dell, it would take 48 hours to sort all the issues out.
When I took my Laptop to Dell, I was informed that the chain store never registered my original warranty of a year nor my 2-year extended warranty with Dell. When I finally got that sorted out, I was promised that I would get a refund since the laptop is still relatively new and has been giving so much of issues.
2 days later, I was informed that I no longer qualify for the refund but that a technician will be at my premises within 48 hours to repair everything. The next day I received an email where it clearly states that an onsite service appointment has been scheduled for 2019/06/05 8:00am to 5:00pm. At 09:23 am on 05/06/2019, an hour and a half after the appointment was suppose to start, I received a call asking if the technician can come later in the day and that he will be at my premises anywhere from 12 to 4. No further communication was made. I had to ask at 4 whether the technician was still coming. I was then informed that he was running over and that he will only be coming on 06/06/2019.
It’s almost a week since I started dealing with Dell, long over the promised 48 hours.
I am honestly not impressed.
