Dell Laptop service is non existant in South Africa

Dell laptop service are basically non existant in South Africa. I needed a battery replacement and since it was lockdown have to get a tech to come and replace at my house because my son was taking hybrid classes and needed the laptop. South Africa could not help me and i had to contact oversees. They could not help me because of the lockdown. Eventually it was level 2 and still they can't help me. I cannot take the laptop somewhere else due to the warranty. Up to date I am still battling to get a battery installed. If i knew then what I know now, I would have gone for a local brand.
