Buyer BEWARE!
I recently purchased a new Dell Inspiron 15 3000 lap top. This is my fifth Dell computer. When I received this one, it was running so slow that I couldn't believe it. I kept trying to use it and work it out because I have had good experiences with them in the past. However this one was not good. I called them and told them what my issue was, that it was so slow I could turn it on and leave the room for five minuites and when I got back it was still trying to boot up. I was so frustrated I went back to my old broken lap top to do what I needed to get done before this one would get to where it would slowly work. I asked if I could return it and I would spend more money on a better one, but because I hadn't done anything in the first thirty days they refused to let me do this. Instead they ran diagnostics on the hardware and told me there was nothing wrong with it. They then sent me to the software division to have them test it. Well they said they would look at it for $230.00 dollars! I couldn't believe this. They said that they needed to have my credit card on file to look at it and if they found a problem they would then fix it and charge me. I had no choice but to agree if I wanted to do anything other than throw it in the garbage. So what they ccame back with was that the software on my BRAND NEW COMPUTER was outdated and that is why it was running slow. so for the $230.00 they installed the new software that as far as I am concerned should have been on it at time of purchase! I argued that this was like buying a brand new car with worn out tires! They refused to agree that they should have had current software on a brand new computer and it was my problem not theirs. I was taken as far as I am concerned and will never purchase another DELL. There are many other computers out there that I will look at the next time. Be careful when buying a new Dell, as their policy doesn't mean customer satisfaction as much as BUYER BEWARE! Good luck to anyone looking to purchase a new Dell.
