Worst Appliance (DEFY) Brand in the world - Don't waste your time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Defy doesn't have any customer service as we bought a Defy Microwave May 2024 and just after 12 months and a few days our Defy microwave desides its not working. So we get the slip and call Defy and we were told to take it up with Makro!!!!!!!!! The microwave is a Defy product sold by Makro that provides 12 months warranty but Defy provides 2years as per the warranty card that was in the Defy microwave box. The Defy microwave is almost brand new as we hardly even used it. I had a Samsung microwave lasted over 15years and still worked - We actually gave it away to someone that needed one and bought this Defy low quality brand and now we get stories. This Defy microwave needs to be replaced, not serviced as in 12months time it doesn't work again and is out of warranty then i have to fork out another R1500 - R2000 for a new one. I have never had so bad service, not even sure if it can be called service from a well know brand and they are fast to let the appliances go but to support their brand is a nightmare. Please can you get back to me and get my Defy microwave replaced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good day Dean,
We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
As advised, please return the unit to Makro so that it can be booked in for assessment and resolution. This is the standard procedure for all small domestic appliances.

Your unit is covered by a 2-year warranty, and we are happy to assist in identifying and resolving the issue. Please note that Defy reserves the right to determine the appropriate course of action based on the nature of the fault.

Kind Regards,

Booked in for assessment? I want this Defy microwave replaced, as it will get fixed after minimal use which meaning it is a faulty appliance as it should never give up so easily. The warranty is 2years then it gets fixed now lasts another year and then i have to replace it out of my own pocket - I'm sorry that is not going to work for me. A Samsung microwave lasted 15years till the enamel peeled off and it still worked and the Defy lasted 12months and a few days? Is this a joke that you even telling me that it needs to be assessed? Its Brand new? Makro can even tell you its brand spanking new as we hardly use it. The point is the Defy appliance should not even think of being repaired or assed after 12months of probably being used twice a month. If you are unable to replace then please get in contact with me so we can arrange a refund. A customer not happy with the Defy brand as it should never give any issues after 12months, being brand new and I'm not going to fork out another R2000 for a new one in another 12months.

The unit was taken to Makro yesterday already and we were provided a Repair ID *** and it has been booked in. Really not happy about this!!!!!!!!
False advertising:

"The most well-known slogan for Defy Appliances is "You can rely on Defy". This slogan is strongly associated with the brand's reputation for consistent product quality and innovation. Defy has also used the slogan "Believe in Better", according to Tyrone, a creative agency. "
