Terrible quality of Glass stove top - coating scratching off after just 1 month

Last month, I installed a full Defy electric stove. The glass plates are scratching so badly with the black coating scratching off at an accelerated rate. I changed pots and even used AMC pots, thinking the more cheaper pots are causing the scratching and silver marks but nothing has helped. Also, the circular plate marking is becoming more silver and defined and it looks horrible when the stove is off. In my other 2 houses, I've had glass-top stoves from Whirlpool for many years and the glass coating is still intact. Now if my stove looks this horrible after 1 month, how will it look like after 2yrs??? Terrible terrible quality.
