************* Service from service department

I bought a Defy dishwasher 10 months ago. A month ago, I phoned Defy support center and registered a call for investigation and repair under warranty. A subcontractor technician came out and investigated the fault. He later returned to replace a control card, but it did not fix the fault/problem. I then again phoned Defy and they sent out one of their technicians and he also investigated the problem and said he'll inform the company and take it from there. After 2weeks of waiting for feedback, I phoned Defy support again and they informed me that they closed the jobcard as the technician informed them that he replaced the control card and that all is fine, when it was actually not. I denied the fact that it was repaired and asked for another jobcard to be opened. Today, the 28/10/2024, I phoned Defy again and once again, the jobcard is closed, stating the technician was at my house on Friday, 25/10/2024, of which there was nobody at my house or even phoning me to make arrangements for entry to the property. As I wrote this, Defy phoned me to make arrangements but I informed them that I will still post this, and it will stay part of these reviews until such time my problem is fixed in a timely and acceptable manner.

I don't think closing a jobcard is miscommunication between teams, its either a flaw in your process, which needs attention, or it is blatantly lying about the status of a job in order to hope that the problem goes away by itself or hope that the customer will just give up and fix it at his own cost. Miscommunication cannot be used as an excuse here.

Good evening to everyone reading this. I wrote this on 09/12/2024 at 20:24. I stated in my opening review that I will post my experience until such time my problem is fixed, well, my problem was fixed on the 05/12/2024, when Defy delivered me a brand new dishwasher. It came as a surprise, maybe because it's near Christmas, to be informed that they will be delivering a brand new unit. So after 2 months, I can safely say, the issue has been resolved, this time with a legit solution. I still don't understand the reason for the failure on the previous unit, and if it will or can happen again on this unit, but fortunately the new unit comes with a warranty also. Let''s hope it holds up. I want to thank Defy for the new unit and also say, the unit is working fine, for now. I am changing my review rating to 3 star. The reason for this is, the communication, in terms of keeping the customer informed on a regular basis, still lacked without any improvement. I had to initiate phone calls for status updates. If Defy can up their communication, and keep customers informed on a regular basis, it will improve the experience with Defy much more positvely. This is then the conclusion to my experience with Defy. Thank you.
