Pathetic service and customer care!!!
On 29 March 2015 I purchased a Defy stove at Makro. Less than 1 year later the stove is in a poor state. Now please note that I have only ever purchased Defy stoves, so I'm quite fami**** with the product and how to maintain the appliance, So as per instruction manual, I clean only with a dishcloth, sunlight dishwasher and to keep it shining. I use the baby oil. However, the numbers on the stove has started to come off, two pilot lights have come off and the netting on the extractor fan has come undone. After a service call was logged, the serviceman got back to me to say the manager Theunis Veldtskoen is not happy to replace the parts. I will have to pay for it. My attempt to make contact with Mr Veldtskoen has been in vain. He does not return my calls. <br> As if though I do not know how to maintain my appliances! My previous defy stove is still in mint condition. So much so that 15 years later, I could pass it on to my daughter. Its fully functional and actually has all the numbers on it. I refuse to accept this service from Defy and specifically Theunis Veldtskoen. I will take further steps to have this matter dealt with by the consumer board.
