Pathetic Service

I purschased a Defy Top Loader in August 2017 from Game Stores Trade Route Mall, 5 months later it stops working - My husband then takes the machine into the store on the 13/02/2018 only to be told that the machine will be checked by a Defy Technician at my home after they (Game) logged a complaint. On the 19/02/2018, the technician named Johannes pitches up at my house and my husband then explains to him to problem, without even checking or even opening the machine to confirm the fault he advises that the circuit board is damaged and needs to be replaced, when my husband requested a date of when this will be replaced he said he doesnt know. I was patient and waited since the 19/02/2018 until 26/02/2018 with NO communication or feedback from either GAME or DEFY, I then called the Game store and spoke to the manager Shamim and explained my problem and requested some assistance, again I was told that the circuit board is damaged and that I have to wait for Defy to replace it and they dont have stock and cannot give me a ETA on the repair. I advised Shamim that this is very inconvenient and between Game and Defy they need to assist me urgently. I was expecting a call before close of business on the 26/02/2018 with feedback from Shamim which I never received. I then called Shamim again today - 27/02/2018 only to be told that the circuit board was struck by lightning and it is my responsibility to have lightning protection. My irritation is that the machine was not even checked or opened to confirm that is was damaged by lightning, the circuit board was never removed or accessed to confirm that it was lightning damage, but they can give me an official report to confirm this. I will never again purchase a DEFY appliance and be aware that there is NO after sales service with GAME, they hand the query over to the supplier and make it their problem. I am currently waiting for the Defy Service manager to call me, its been an hour and I am still waiting. Such pathetic service from both Game and Defy

NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER PURCHASE A DEFY PRODUCT - my repair only lasted 22 months - Im told now that if I want a technician to assist, there is R630 Call out fee - If I take the machine to DEFY, I still have to pay R450.00 labour - and thats not even the repair cost. I was falsely informed that the part replaced at the time had a 2 year warranty - the service centre tells me now that the warranty is only 6months - THEY DONT EVEN TRUST THEIR OWN PRODUCT that they only provide a 6month warranty on their parts. Such a Pathetic Product.
