Pathetic Defy

I have a Defy 13kg washing machine which I bought for my wife. It has been working perfectly for almost four years. In September the machine stopped washing due to the drum not rotating. I called the Defy repair centre in Durban. I was advised of the payments required for transportation and the quote to follow before the repairs is done. A guy named Roy came to assess the machine and told me it can be repaired. I then payed R450 cash for the transportation from my house to the repair centre. On the 16/09/16 I was given a quote of R582.96 for the repair which I accepted and was told to pay on delivery. The machine was delivered in early October and as promised, I paid the full amount because the machine was supposedly repaired. A day later my wife tried to use the machine but the same problem was found. I called them back and they came and collected the machine again for repairs on the 26/10/16. On the 11/11/16 the machine returned and I was promised that all was sorted. I have once again had the same problem with the machine. I have been very patient with these guys but this is pathetic customer service. I am starting to wonder if there is anyone there at the repair centre or Defy as a company who knows what they are doing. Today I tried calling them and got a voice recording that said the number has been changed. I have reached boiling point with these guys now I want my money or they must send someone who is competent to repair the machine in my house so I can show them how to test a washing machine for washing purposes, because seemingly those technicians don't know how that is done. My wife is always complaining to me about doing handwashing when I bought her a washing machine. I am willing to wait till this saturday for the technician to come and do what he/she is paid to do or I get my R1032.96 refund so I can go to someone else. I am very disappointed. I own a metallic fridge which is also Defy but I will never buy their products again.

Reviewer Update

On the 24/11/16 I managed to get hold of the manager of the Durban Defy branch Mr Ismail Khakhi. I explained my complaint and he promised me that a technician was going to call me and advice of the time they will come and repair my washing mahine on 25/11/16. I received a call and was promised it was going to be fixed on 25/11/16 after 08:00 till now no one has come to my aid. I now want my money back
