no one to help

I have bought an air conditioner its an inverter, it just stoped working and when I called defy to help me repair it I'm told that I'm out of radius for them to repair the device. why was I not told not to buy it if they bring their product to us when we need them to repair we will be told we are out of radius. I'm in Limpopo I have bought my device at Makro. Im not happy and I think I will discontinue from buying this product if this is how they will treat their customer.i thought this was a South African brand and one won't get this kind of bad treatment I'm so disappointed being told I'm out of coverage when this should be across the country.
