NEW Microwave rusting on the outside - if this is their logo, please do not believe in it -Defy - Believe in better

I bought a Defy Microwave 28 L Silver from Makro, Amanzimtoti on the 19th August 2019. The microwave has rusted on the outside of the machine on the top. I tried to return this to Makro, Amanzimtoti, but was told that Defy does not cover rust as part of the warranty. I asked how I can purchase something that is less than 6 months old and it has rust. They suggested that I get hold of the Defy Service Center. I phoned the service center and was told that rust is not covered in the warranty. I asked them how the microwave could have rusted in less than 6 months. Their manufacturing process must have been incorrect when making this microwave. I was advised that I could get a Defy representative to come out to view and see if it can be repaired, but that it would cost me 630.00 rand, and if it could not be fixed, that it would not be replaced. I asked if it could go to the Springfield Defy center, the answer was yes, but a handling charge was in order as well, and the same answer was given, if it could not be repaired, it would not be replaced. So, I would be charged in either way on trying to resolve the matter and would still have to purchase a new microwave. Well if so, it will NOT be a DEFY. So please do not buy DEFY, if this is part of the after service and they cannot guarantee their product which is 6 months old.
