New Defy glasstop gas hob exploded.

Out of pure frustration I am posting this here. And copying to Defy on their Facebook page.

We bought and had this 5 burner Defy glasstop gashob installed in Hout Bay on 18 December 2018. Early June it exploded, luckily my daughter turned her back to the hob seconds before it exploded. And she turned up the hood of her tracksuit top at the same time. She could have been maimed and blinded. Defy agreed to replace the destroyed hob with an aluminium gas hob. They phoned at the end of July to install the replacement asking to do it the following day, as they would "be in the vicinity of Hout Bay." We could not be there and asked for another date to be arranged. Three weeks later and despite phone calls and various emails to three people in the company, we have had no response.
