Never buy a Defy oven

My brand new Defy oven has been in use for 1.5 years, and has REALLY started falling to pieces: gas hob burners stopped working one after the other, oven does not reach temperature, covers have started falling off etc. ect.<br> <br> Bottom-line verdict is that I have unfortunately bought a product of superb inferiority - where Defy used to be an SA house-hold brand, it now seems to have fallen for the cheap made-in-China components trap. Long gone is a proudly South African product - it is now a bag full of Chinese components flung together in SA.<br> <br> Rather buy a Smeg - it is now only approx R3,000 more than a Defy!
