HORRIBLE SERVICE FROM LUCAS LENTSOANE (***) AND DANNY DIANE (***)!!!!
HORRIBLE SERVICE FROM LUCAS LENTSOANE (***) AND DANNY DIANE (***)!!!!
We recently lodged a request for a repair under warranty for a Defy Hob, Defy sent out a technician to come and check it out and he opened it up and took pictures without saying anything. When I later contacted Defy, I was told that they will not fix the Hob under warranty and that I should pay for the fix.
They said the reason is due to ****roach infestation, they shared the images that they took of the PC board and 2 or 3 small ****roaches are visible and they called it infestation. 9 months ago they came and fixed and replaced the same part (PC board) and said these parts break due to ****roaches, I asked them why they can’t replace it this time if they did replace it the last time and they said this time they found the ****roaches and have proof of ****roach infestation and the last time they didn’t have.
They are quoting me R1600 to fix a R3100 product which is ridiculous.
My argument to them is the following and they are failing to prove nor give me clear answers:
- I asked them (Lucas Lentsoane ***) to define infestation and they failed to do so numerous times and after pressing them they defined it as follows “Unit is infested with ****roaches irrespective of the number and the warranty is nil and void as per owner’s manual.” - My argument is that the definition of infestation that I understand from the dictionary and that I have known all my life is the following “Infest: (of insects or animals) be present (in a place or site) in large numbers, typically so as to cause damage or disease.” - Please note that the definition says “in large number” but Danny Diane (***) from Defy defines it as “irrespective of the number” I asked him to show me where Defy redefined the definition of infestation in their own words in their T&C’s/Owner’s manual and he has failed to do so.
