Highly Frustrated

It is now day 29 without a functional washing machine and from the date that the matter was reported ***. On the 22nd of October 2024 I had received a call from a very friendly service consultant advising that the drum of the washing machine will be replaced. It was requested with her that someone senior contacts me as I do not accept this as a solution to fix the issue with the washing machine. How does a washing machine of a reputable brand that's not even 2 years old rust? Below is a list of what I am not happy about. No one has contacted me. I have so many damaged linen, towels, and clothing because of the rust. Which is now a big loss to me A technician was sent out, a lovely guy called Sizwe. However, only a few pictures were taken of the drum inside. At no point was the machine opened up or even taken apart to distinguish where the rust was coming from. DEFY wanting to replace a drum. Not been able to do washing for +-13days ! I am appalled by the quality and service received from DEFY. So much for such a big reputable company/brand like DEFY to not be living up to their standards, commitment and mission to deliver products that's reliable with high-quality and that make my household tasks easier, more efficient and more enjoyable. My satisfaction is clearly not a top priority, because there seems to be no dedication provided to my case. I have lost so much trust in this brand.

I have been a DEFY customer for years and is my number 1 preferred brand for all my appliances big or small, check my records with Makro. My previous washing machine, which is now almost 20 years old, still works! How does this happen? A washing machine rusting? My washing machine was collected on the 30th October 2024 and I was given a loan machine which was not in working order and this was reported. My washing machine was returned on the 1st November 2024 and I was informed by you that the drum had been replaced with a "brand new" one. However, I had still experienced the same issues where my laundry was once again damaged with brown marks even though the drum was replaced with a "brand new" drum. On the 5th November 2024 a technician was sent out to have a look at the drum once again. He removed the wash plate and removed a build up of some sort of debris. I would like to know how this is possible if a brand-new drum was replaced? I do feel that Defy has been *********** in solving my issue and I still demand a new washing machine or my money back, as once again the trust has been tarnished. I've been given the complete run around!

It now the 13 November and my machine is still doing the exact dame thing. I get ignored when calling Basil.
