Frozen Service!!!

<p>A month ago I reported a problem with my Defy freezer (which was purchased from Makro at the end of October 2016). The freezer was not sealing correctly as the rubber on the door was loose. I called Makro and they sent out a Defy approved techician. The technician that arrived, arrived after hours with the incorrect information and then got angry with me because he could not confirm my information before I let him into my home. And after being aggressive and arrogant over the phone, he sped off. The next day, I called Makro and complained and they sent him out again. He came through on a Friday and stuck the door rubbers and told me to defrost the freezer and everything will be fine. I decided not to open the freezer over the weekend to ensure that I did not loosen the rubber. However, the next week, the problem seemed to be back with avengence. Numerous calls to Makro and I am still waiting for a technician to be sent out 3 weeks later. And today, te technician calls me at 10am to tell me that he will be at my house between 12 and 2. When i told him that I am at work and will be at home after 3:30, he informed me that he has other clients to see and that I should wait for him to return to the area next week. When I called Makro again. My call was returned by the manager who then proceeded to inform me that the technician will in fact only be available in two weeks time and that I need to ensure that I am home when they ask me to be or I will have to wait.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have had to throw away all the food in the freezer because it has thawed and refrozen numerous times due to this faulty appliance. I have a towel on the floor in front of the fridge to absorb the water that is constantly leaking out of the fridge. </p> <p> </p> <p>Waiting a month for an essential appliance to be repaired is in my opinion not acceptable. And to be told that I have to wait an additional two weeks is ridiculous. In wastage and inconvenience that this has caused is inexcusable!!</p>
