Faulty Defy Appliance

Your CPA policies needs to be reviewed drastically. I bought my unit less than 2 year ago being an Oven and Hob at Game Stores in N1 city of wh ih the 1 plate was cracked and the oven timer switch broken. Now not even 2 years later I get told of replacing the plate and switch?

So how about you place a "trial and error" clause on your instructions manual so clients can see that you do not trust the longevity of your own products. Its appalling that Game Stores would fail to honor their motto " We will gladly replace any faulty purchase with your slip as proof of purchase"...clearly they sang another tune to accommodate Defy in the CPA and warranty rules and regulations.

So too place the story into better perspective, they replace the broken parts and lets say 2 years later the very same faults occur then what?R4500 of my hard earned money down the drain?GAME Stores now using their supplier as a scapegoat in not honoring their returns policy? The both of you ***ards then and full disclosure on faulty appliances should be read out to all clients comprehensivly!

I am going to toss the faulty Defy unit into a bin and I will encourage anyone to reconsider making a purchase of a defy product much less making a purchase at GAME stores from here on in.

HI,

So what left out too now that I have your attention being the switchboard lady at GAME Stores who advised me of the following before speaking to the on floor appliance salesman

- Sir wen we find that the appliance is faulty we give you the choice to return the unit or repair.
- Sir you need just the slip to make the return after the fault has been established.

Now, the on floor salesman being entirely contradictory to that of the switchboard person and playing along to the this CPA ruling and your warranty policies.

Let me forewarn you too that my late father was an appliance technician for 45 years and myself very clued up about the appliance repair paradigm. My late father serviced some very high profile clients.

Lets place this into another perspective :

I purchase a R50000 television and the power button is faulty, do you -

- Strip a R50000 the television to replace the power button?

I would love to see your response to the ambiguous reasonings of both Supplier and Representative.

Thank you,
Disgruntled Client
