Disrespectful, Evasive, Foul, Yobbish

We are a small guesthouse who was never told that the warranty would not apply to purchase as we use the oven "commercially" - cooking for 6 to 8 people a day is commercial? What about extended families? Or parents with 5 kids and a grandma in the back? Would that also make the oven use commercial?

After purchasing the oven (A DSG - 158) in July 2016, we immediately had problems with baking - biscuits, ****ins and cookies all burn on one side (the right side). After contacting The Discounter in Witbank where we purchased the oven, Defy sent a technician out TWO MONTHS AFTER THE COMPLAINT WAS MADE (beg September 2016). Once the technician arrived, he GOOGLED how to use the oven and what could be wrong with it. Upon ME following up (because neither Defy nor The Discounter are capable of emailing or picking up a phone), I was told that nothing was wrong with the oven, according to them, and to PLACATE us, they would replace parts that WE would have to pay for. After following up AGAIN (they never arrived to replace any parts nor contacted us again after we went to the shop and explained the situation AGAIN to another employee - no one takes any responsibility for their lack of action), they sent the same technician out who, again, had to GOOGLE what was wrong with the oven. He then stated he had to talk to his superiors as HE DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT and would give us feedback. Still waiting for that to happen - he was here in December. After contacting Defy AGAIN in February, we were told that they would be sending a "home economics expert" out to bake cookies so she could tell them IF we were telling them the truth. She has still not arrived after we were promised she would be here LAST MONTH. After talking to Defy AGAIN today (23 March 2017), we were told that she is busy and we would have to wait until she is in this part of the country to assist us - like they can only find ONE person out of 49 million people that can bake???? I think not. Defy is disrspectful to their customers, have no idea what the word SERVICE actually means (they should invest in a dictionary) and have treated us with disdain. We do not matter to them; our complaint which has been ongoing for EIGHT MONTHS still has no resolution in sight and they have done NOTHING to help us. I am disgusted at their service and appalled at their lack of corporate and professional responsibility. I will never purchase a defy appliance again purely because how they have handled this situation.
