Disgusted with DEFY

R16 000 Defy Fridge, 5 year Warranty, a year and 9 months past warranty I report a problem with cooling and prepared to pay to have it repaired. Defy Cape Town, after struggling for 4 days to get someone to come out, they assesses the fridge, they can find no physical problem and tells me there is no gas. Neither can they explain what happened to the gas. Clearly an internal problem as gas is not a consumable in a fridge. It does not get "used up" . I have Bosch upright freezer, it is 15 years old, I've never needed to touch it, it just works ! DEFY bluntly refuse to do anything about it as it is "outside the scope" of their repair capability and tells me to buy a new fridge............they offer me a replacement at a cost of R11 000, so take in my fridge, that is ONLY missing gas..........and have me pay R11 000 for a new one.........what a bunch of CON ARTISTS...........so basically i'm sitting with a pile of s**** metal.........because according to them it cannot be re-gassed.....people please rather go buy BOSCH or any other brand........but stay away from DEFY......they're trading on decades old reputation that has loooooong since dropped down into the gutter........I still would like to have the fridge repaired but DEFY themselves cannot even fix their own ****.
