Disgusted in Defy

Despite the fact that we thought Defy has sorted out our dishwasher, great was our disappointment once again when the repair only lasted one day and we were without a dishwasher over the festive period when we had a 32 people over which was arranged in June 2022 already. We bought the Defy from Makro on 18 December 2020, taking into consideration that there is a 5 year guarantee on the machine it is very disappointing to yet again experience another problem. A couple of weeks ago (10 December 2022), we logged a service call and when the technician attended to the problem, it was found that the element and pump is faulty. Apparently spares are not available and I cannot understand how a 5 year guarantee can be given on a product for which no spares are kept in stock. This machine has a history of problems and should have been replaced when the first problem occurred. My advise is, stay away from Defy as far as possible!
