DEFY - what a disaster

I am past furious. Bought a tumbledryer - 27 October 2021. Used the machine twice - it broke 5 Jan 2022. Bought it from Makro online. Makro referred the matter to Defy - what a disaster. A technician was finally sent out (very rude and unprofessional) - 14 January - can't repair. This problem occurs alot - they are not assembled properly... . I contacted Defy - only to be informed "we will wait for the technician's report, then Defy will decide how to process". Several days later - I again phoned - "no parts available, on backorder - not able to confirm when - I will be contacted when the parts are delivered". Received an email from Makro - 1 Feb 2022: 08:24 - Defy have confirmed the parts have arrived, I will be contacted to make arrangements" 8 and 9 February 2022, I contacted Makro again - They are still awaiting reply from Defy as to when coming out to repair and suggest that I contact Defy directly. Defy - we are still awaiting a part and have no idea why Makro would send such an email. they will escalate and investigate - unacceptable - I want to speak to a manager - *** - that just rings and rings and rings. I have even tried the Durban Head Office - well that is even worse... Suggestion - Defy's new motto - DEFY all customers.

It is now 35 days since my machine broke - apart from the one call from the very rude technician and 2 emails from Makro - not one phone call, not one follow up, no one status update... ZERO from Defy.

If I could give them a zero rating - that would be it.
