DEFY UNIT FAULTY OUT OF BOX

I am totally disappointed in this brand and would not even recommend it to my worst enemy. I bought a built in oven and hob box set (dcb-866) from Makro on 28 Nov 2020 for our new kitchen renovation. the unit was installed on 10 Dec 2020 and was found to be faulty as one of the plates did not work. after numerous attempts, we finally managed to log a service call through Makro centurion on 11Dec2020. the unit was an out of box failure and needed to be replaced. The assigned technician came all the way from Randburg only to look at the unit and confirmed that the plate is not working. He had no replacement parts with him and would have to order a new plate as the item is repairable. On 29Dec2020 the stove was completely dead and would not switch on. I immediately called the technician to inform about the situation and he said there's nothing he can do, I need to book a new service call through the retailer and as for the replacement part, he has no idea when it will be available as they are sitting with orders that's waiting for parts for weeks now. I have been trying to get a hold of Lwando at Makro Centurion ever since without any success. I called Defy's service centre today and logged a new call myself. however there is no sense of urgency regarding the matter. My concern is that the technician is one day in some distant future, coming to replace the faulty plate but the hob is completely dead, then he needs to order new parts again which is going to take forever to arrive, meanwhile I cant even prepare food for my family and have to buy take-aways almost on a daily basis. What they don't understand is that this is an essential item and to sit without a stove even for a day is unacceptable. My job nr is ***. I doubt that they would even respond to this review. This is most definitely the last defy product I've purchased and I will not support their brand ever again as their product quality, client services and turn around times are a complete disaster. THE C.E.O OF DEFY NEEDS TO GET HIS HOUSE IN ORDER.!!!
