Defy top-loader washing machine Destroying clothes - bought at Makro

Bought a top-loader washing machine that we noticed after a year or so it was damaging our clothes. It spins for too long and with too much power. The technician have said there is nothing that can be done as it is programmed this way. Defy not accepting that its a manufacturing fault. Don't seem to want to assist. No difference what program it is set on, it spins for too long and with too much power. Machine bought from Makro South Africa - they seem to not want to get involved as the machine is over a year old. One technician suggested I hand wash delicates and my business shirts. This is not a practical solution. Defy claims that it's not uncommon for clothes to get intertwined after a spin cycle - these clothes are not only intertwined, they are bound so tightly together they could be used and a ski rope! You can still see creases in shirts after they have been ironed, t-shirts are being stretched,delicates are being stretched and destroyed.

This is a useless machine and it needs to be replaced.

Please help or do yourself a favor and don't purchase a DEFY top-loader.
