Defy spares are just too expensive!

I need to replace the upper spray arm on a Defy dishwasher as it appears to be worn out (not turning freely).

The part is listed on the Defy website @ R170.69 but I am not able to complete an order as I need to register a payment method... which I am not able to do as there doesn't seem to be a place to do it.

I phoned Defy and am not able to buy the part from them directly. They also informed me that their site has been "broken" for 2 months already. They suggested that I try a spares dealer as they are *supposed* to charge the same price.

They don't.

Along with shipping and tax Defy's total is R284.29. Lategan & van Biljoens quoted me R525.85. Tecsa quoted R519.28.

Why on earth am I now forced to pay almost double for a piece of plastic?

It seems that aftersales is an after-thought for Defy... better to pay more for a competing product that lasts rather than having to repair a sub-standard product every-so-often.

Not buying Defy again... just not worth the effort!
