Defy Service Disappointment

I requested my Defy gas hob to be serviced as my middle gas burner was not working. They sent out a technician who told me that it would have to be taken into the workshop to be fixed as the burner thermo couple was not working and would have to be replaced and the *****s were rusted(Durban) and could not come off easily. This was end of February 2021. I requested them to please order the part and once received to collect my hob as I can still use the other 4 burners. They phoned me a few days later to say that the part has arrived and they need to come and fetch it. They fetched it expecting it to be back within 4 days. A week later I phoned to find out what is happening why I haven't got my stove back and after being transferred a few times to different departments, I finally get told they are waiting for the part. It needs to be ordered. I reminded them that I requested them not to fetch it until the part was there. So, I asked them to return it and it came back not fixed 3 days later. A month later, I phone them to find out what is happening with the part that they were ordering for my hob and was told that they have it. I remind them that it must not go until they were sure that they had it. So Defy come and collect my hob and the same story, you would expect them to fix it and deliver it back within a week. It is now 3 weeks later and I am still without my hob and every time I phone there is always some excuse that the lines are down, you cant get put through to anyone, but its amazing how reception can answer. Think in this day and age, Defy would have cellphones that you can connect to and not just Telkom lines. Most companies do that. This is very disappointing and I feel that in future, I will rather look at another brand than by Defy in a hurry. They might be local but it seems the service side is shocking and wouldn't recommend anyone buying Defy unless they are desperate. This is very disappointing and very frustrating to cook without a hob for a family.
