Defy service center are useless, and their technician just plain *********** and unprofessional
Defy employs ***********, unprofessional and con artist. In the early morning of 15 July, all the plates on my Defy gas stove started sparking. I logged a call in the morning, and they told me that a technician was going to contact me in 3 days. 3 days later, a technician by the name of Ivan contacted me for the following day. I did leave a message that he should look at the extractor and stove that is making noise. He came to my house, and told my father in law that the fuses need to be replaced. They will send me the quotation to fix the stove. He said that I need to pay him cash (R 650). For less than 15 minutes, we paid him R 650. I called him the following day and he advised me to go buy a new gas hob and that he can install in hob in his private capacity. I still needed to see the quotations so that I can compare the prices. I could not wait any longer, I went to buy a new hob, but kept on asking the quotation to fix. I phoned the national support number 5 times, their Cape Town branch 4 times. They asked me to phone Ivan who has committed to fix my issue. I subsequently phoned him 6 times, and sent him 5 messages. He does not pick up my call nor answered my messages. I got the number of a gas installer to install the new hob. He came to my house and said that that there was nothing wrong with the existing hob. He fixed the existing one in less than 15 minutes. There was just one plate that needed a new item. That guy fixed the extractor and the noise in the oven. All of these for R 400. Defy employs ***********, unprofessional and con artist. I told them that I want my R 650 back because Ivan did not do his job.
