Defy selling 2nd hand items to retailers

Bought a defy fridge DFF447, with serial number:*** on 17 Jan 2023 at bawas furnitures volksrust, threw an E4 error after 2 days and started icing up on the fridge side.

On further inspection this refrigerator is a refurbished model from the factory, it has a bunch of dents and cracks which I didn't notice until it started giving problems. This is clearly a second hand item which is being sold as new. Don't know who is responsible for this since it came in its original wrap and boxes like a new one would.

How can this refrigerator have a warranty if it is second hand? I am extremely unhappy with Defy at this point since it seems defy is refurbishing the items and then letting them be sold as new.

Contact Bawas and find out what is the deal with this item otherwise I am returning it and wanting a full refund for misleading the consumer. I don't want to deal with defy any more if you selling second hand items to the stores.

I have figured out what the problem is with my refrigerator. The thermal overload tested corrected on both live and neutral. The element measured out 400 ohm and the thermistor also had the correct ohm reading for the temp. Put the refrigerator in service mode set the F0 (element) to on guess what the element doesn't come on. Measure the voltage to the element get a reading of 30VAC. So I thought ok maybe the circuit board is faulty. Give the circuit board only power and connect the display and other sensors to it. Set the element to on gets 230VAC instead of 30VAC. Bypass the wiring a voila the element defrosts the evaporator and pulls amps measure with my clamp meter where I got nothing in the past.

So I found your fault on this second hand refrigerator which you repackaged from your factory. The wiring harness got damaged in your factory during assembly (It is the red thick wire from the circuit board) and that is why the unit is not defrosting. Your factory tested the unit only for like 5 hours tops and saw that it cooled both sides and you repackaged it. You can't test a refrigerator like that run it for at least 2 days so that it goes through all the cycles. The e4 ERROR I get only shows when 4 defrost cycles has been completed and the element was "on" for more than 1 hours 4 consequent times and desired temp was not seen by the sensor.

This is poor all around to not even be able to do basic fault finding on your own refrigerators and test it improperly. Why are you also selling refurbished units as new units very *********, like I said mine has a crack and like 3 or 4 dents and the bottom tray, one slider is loose and it moves very difficult because of that. That was the previous owners who damaged the unit like that I do not want to inherit somebody else's problems.
