Defy part not availabke

My Defy dishwasher door mechanism has broken. Whe I enquired at their approved agent, I was told that they do not have that cable in stock. They have to order the part and I have to wait 3 weeks. This is unacceptable. It is year end and we need the washer more now than before. It is lying dismantled in the kitchen. Are they forcing me to buy a new dishwasher? If I do buy another guess what make it wouldn't be? Source the part Defy and have a happy customer!
