Defy fridge - NOT HELFUL

I bought a defy fridge freezer in February and the one handle that opens the door has snapped. Defy say it is a cosmetic part. Ok I say but can I buy the part so I can replace it. The model number on my invoice does not help them. They need the part number in the fridge that starts with D but there is no such part number in the fridge. So I try phoning back about 5 times and each time wait for 10 min then get cut off. I am very disappointed as all my appliances have been Defy. But the it is the first time we have bought a defy fridge. Why put cheap plastic brittle handles on that don't last. It is only 3 months old. Really don't know what to do.
