Defy fridge in Polokwane fair price

Defy please check the agreement you have with stores like fair price. They will damage your reputation as a brand. We bought a defy fridge from fair price mankweng on Tuesday 17 Dec 2024 . Wednesday it was delivered and Thursday I called the store as it was not working. The said my mom needs to come and bring the slip to the store which she did on Friday morning. Fair price said they will call her or me after 3 pm as they are waiting for defy to give them feedback on whether to exchange or not. Then my question is why don't they exchange it and they will deal with defy and not involve us. Long story short the store didn't help , they even confirmed to me I can do anything I want because defy is the one that said they must not exchange but defy will send a technician to come and check it first. My other question is there no rule that says if you buy an electrical appliances and it gives you problems within a certain time frame is the store not suppose to exchange and deal with the manufacturer? All I can say defy staff are trained well from the communications I had with them. Rethink your contract with fair price or renew the return or factory fault policies
