Defy faulty product

I bought a new Defy Slimline oven and hob set in March 2020.The hob is faulty, i reporred to Game and a technician was sent by Defy. The diagnosis was that due to a roach walking on the pc board, the switch has shorted, causing the stive to trip when more than 1plate is turned on. So my newly fitted kitchen, with my new touch screen wtove is just a white elephant right now Defy is sayin i must pay R850, for a new pc board. So i said what happens should another roach take a stroll?
