Defy Design and after sales problem

I want to warn everybody regarding the DEFY double door fridge freezer, with automatic water dispenser Model Number F-660L on the door, as these units seems to have a latent design or material quality problem. When the small water pipe in the door that feeds water to the water dispenser breaks after a couple of years use, you will need to replace the complete door at a huge expense as the pipe going into the door can't be replaced as a part even though the door and computer controls are fully working and in good order. It is absolutely ridiculous that the door in its entirety needs to be replaced as the designer did not think that over time the pipe may degrade due to opening and closing of the door. I have looked at other manufacturers like Whirlpool; LG and their pipes can be replaced; obviously they have a better design team. I have given them a week before complaining however on the 29th November 2017 a service technician was sent out after we provided the reason for the call out in advance. The technician still arrived and after looking advised there was nothing he could do and I need to replace the door which would be very expensive, which cost me a R450 call out fee job card # C673466. As you can imagine I was a tad upset as I do not mind paying for a repair however if the design is poor I do not see why I need to replace the entire for a small water pipe that was not taken into account during the design phase of the product. After numerous requests to the technician whom advised me they cannot provide the managers contact details I eventually got to talk to a Manager? On the technician’s phone, this manager advised me he would look into it to see if this can be repaired in the factory, etc. and come back to me with a solution. This was a week ago and I have received no feedback or solution to the problem. In addition we received an SMS to state that the job was completed along with a request to complete a survey! We advised on the survey and rep**** on the SMS that the job was not completed. This leaves me to the conclusion that defy has no problem selling you their top products but have no interest in sorting out the issue. They also have no problem charging me a call out fee for something they should have known couldn’t be resolved by the technician. I am very disappointed and have been very reasonable before starting to complain on this as all my products from Stoves to Tumble dryers are Defy products and they don’t bother coming back with a solution for one of their top products.

Reviewer Update
It's been a month since we called out Defy Appliances to fix our double fridge door and still no calls or emails with regard to a solution for our problem, or a price on a new door. Since their fridge had a manufacturing defect and didn't last long, perhaps I'm better off replacing all my Defy appliances next year. Recommendations on brands to replace my stoves, hob, microwave, double fridge, freezer, washing machine, dryer and dish washer are welcome.
