Defy Cooker Hood 600. Misleading design and false advertising

Bought a Defy DCH290 Cooker hood. It is installed to recirculate and not to vent via a duct to the outside. The sales team advised me that the cooker hood will not extract steam, but odors when the charcoal filter is installed. Here is my issue : 1. The aluminium grids - let's name them left side and right side. The right side, where the motor and charcoal filter is located, is doing the suction as expected. The left side has no suction at all. 2. Odors are still present and not eliminated 3. Basically the unit is only working on the right hand side, which means I only have half a working unit. This is in my opinion false advertising, one expect for the whole unit to be extracting and not only the one side. 4. The unit is basically only being used for 2 plates, ie. Right front and right rear, cooking on the left side, the steam is going up, then against the left side passed the cooker hood, thus sending all the odors etc. into the kitchen.

I am not happy with this product and this is not doing what one is expecting it to do. The motor should be placed in the middle of the unit, not on one side only. This is creating a false sense of how it is expected it to do and what it is actually doing. I want to return the unit and get a full refund, without any percentage deduction for admin etc.
