Defy appliances Suck
1st let me say that’s I have a petit chef oven that’s over 20 years and no complaints. But since Defy has been bought over the products are just not up to standard. No one bothers to do any quality Checks. 2 months a defy chest freezer was bought from Hirsch and it has a loose panel inside the Legs were not stable and the side grill broken it took a week to replace. 2 upright eco fridges bought these were supposed to have stainless steel doors both door kinked. One door replace the other still here. Then the fridge spewed rust dust on the shelves and overflowed at the back, it was disgusting. When I complained they opened the panel and the rust on that panel looked like a bee hive I got photos. That got fixed the other one started doing the same thing a month ago they took the 2nd fridge to repair when it came back there was no drip tray at the back. The 1st fridges is now doing the same and o noticed the drip tray is no longer there in place is a foil pie dish stick on and that started overflowing . Ronny from Jacobs service Dept at Jacobs has tried getting the fridges swooped our to another model but no joy he sent an email to 2 guys and me and sent them my story and pictures disgusting service a new month no response. What’s to say that over time the rust it formed was not the thing that has given my mum tummy problems. Thus Eco fridge is not healthy and each fridge was R9999 when I bought them . I got a discount from Hirsch on the 2nd one bought. A totally gud company going down the tubes by their staff. No pride in how they fix or follow up with queries I have pictures of that unhealthy rust. Word of mouth is great pictures greater carry on defy ignore me and see your asses at the Ombutsman office and then to court for health issues that come up. I’m giving you a week to sort out both these fridges take them back chuck them away I’m sure I’m not the only one complaining.
