Defy and Zero accountability

I purchased a washing machine on the 12th of March 2023. The machine was faulty from the time I purchased it. I contacted Game and a Defy technician was dispatched for inspection, this was a month later.

The Defy technician indicated that the machine had a factory fault. The next step from Defy's side was to exchange the machine, which at the time I had indicated I no longer wanted the machine. Defy then indicated that I am unable to return it to them and they exchanged the machine.

When the exchange was completed on 14.04.2023, Defy gave me a new machine, Defy upgraded the machine to a newer model.

This is when I have been given uphill about the machine.

When I attempted to return the machine to Game a few days later, they said they are unable to take the machine back because the model I purchased from them is not the same.

I then contacted Defy and they said they cannot take the machine back because an exchange had been completed. I informed them that I did tell the technician that I didn't want an exchange and was assured by the person that Game would take the machine back.

It is not the 24 May 2023, Game nor Defy want to take responsibility and the machine is still with me.

I have contacted managers on both sides with no success from both sides, each side is blaming the other, while I am stuck in the middle.
