Complete lack of customer service

In October2016 I reported a fault with my Defy dishwasher to their national customer service centre (ref 620801). A service technician came to my house and determined that an electronic part needed to be replaced. The part was ordered but the technician informed me it was the wrong one when it arrived a week later. The part was reordered (waited another week). Technician installed the part but it was wrong part again - did not fix the problem. He said he would rather let the workshop try and repair the machine. He suggested the part might be taken from a machine on the shop floor if possible. Waited another week and had to phone Cape branch to ask where couriers were for pickup of machine. Eventually machine picked up Monday 28/11. Was given new workshop jobcard 602713. I have now phoned several times for progress. Nobody has phoned me even though I've waited more than a month and a half for problem to be fixed. Workshop says they are still waiting for parts from National (Durban). They don't know when to expect the part needed. I spoke to Fahiem and Darren on a few ocasions, but they could not propose any other solution. Eventually spoke to workshop manager on Monday 12 December. He said he would phone me back. Haven't heard anything from him either. This is pathetic "service" from a very well known household brand. Customer service is terrible. No progress reports given at all. I had to follow up regularly, but same excuse given every time. I really expected much better from Defy.
