Can you rely on Defy?
So I bought a new Defy oven and hobb sent from Hirsch's. Once installed, we notice that the oven door does not close properly, there is a missing part and the oven knobs are not all in the same position.
Hirsch say that they will send Defy technician. Defy technician comes out and says that i am complaining about small things! Apparently consumers should not complain when they buy a new product and establish that its not 100%!
Readjusts the oven door, tries to sort out the knobs and in the process, he scratches them so now i have black and silver knobs - but also says that if he tries to align them properly that he will break the unit. Then goes on to say that for the missing part, he doesn't know when we will get it and we must wait.
So I call Hirsch "with all due respect ma'am we do not check quality check the items from the supplier, but dont worry your unit is still under warranty" They sys that they will call Defy and get back to me.
So I call Defy - their technician told them that he had replaced parts - whaaatt! There was no part replaced - if anything the guy mucked the oven. I ask them how it is that a brand new oven and hobb set needs replacement parts and apparently there is nothing that they can do about the technician that has damaged the oven knobbs.
I then get told another technician must come out and to fix a brand new unit.
Ask to speak to manager, "his name is Eddie, I don't know his number and his email ma'am, putting you through reception" call cuts
So now what must happen? Companies sell 'broken' products and the consumer must be running around between the seller and the manufacturer trying to sort it out!
