Broken Microwave after a year

I always thought Defy was a great brand, but we brought a Microwave last year and just when the guarantee is out, it is broken. Our last Microwave was an AIM, of all things, and we used it for 10 years. But the FANCY Defy microwave lasts a little longer than a year. How is that possible???

This is ridiculous.
