Ambushed with false advertising

I bought a defy 2 door fridge freezer model dff438 in January 2022. During the sale the salesman confirmed 5 year warranty and said if any thing happens we can call and it will be sorted out if it is in the 5 year period. On the fridge it self it's written boldly "5 year warranty". Now that I'm trying to log a call I'm being told that the warranty is only 3 years and I had to register for the extra 2years. This was never explain this way when i bought it. I WISH I WENT WITH THE KELVINATOR FRIDGE THAT WE WANTED TO BUY 1ST. THANK YOU DEFY, YOU WILL NOT SEE ME OR MY MONEY ANYMORE. Will not recommend any defy product to anyone.
