All I want for Christmas is the promised good service from Defy
Buy a Defy they said...Service will be good they said...(call to Tafelberg furnishers to reconsider their sales pitch)
It has been more than 3 weeks since the Defy technician looked at our washing machine and had to order a motherboard.
I have phoned Defy service department multiple times to try and find out the ETA of the part and my machine being fixed (ran out of airtime multiple times too, hence the Hello Peter review...As I am low on airtime again, spending R100 of airtime to follow up on somebody else’s job is not acceptable). Turns out that it takes longer than a week just to get an answer from head office on a response. In other words you have to ask 2 ETAs...one for a response time from head office (where all the escalations go to) and then another ETA on the parts ordered. I can honestly not imagine when the parts will arrive, if my query to head office takes longer than a week. I am not a pro in exports/imports, but I do know that it won’t take you a whole month (if you have to import it) and surely there should be parts for this machine in SA. If there are no parts for my machine, at least say something so that we can plan accordingly. Alternatively we will have to consider switching to another brand if Defy wishes to buy my machine back from me.
If there is anybody at Defy who can help me with service, that will be great. Just wanted to know if I will be spending the last 2 months of 2020 without a washing/drying machine.
