All faith lost in the defy brand

We purchased a Defy 8kg top loader DTL156 in May 2022, by March 2023 it had already begun giving us issues. It broke down conveniently after the return period and defy refused to return it. These were the faults that were reported: 1. It fills up water till the drum overflows and then pushes it out and this happens continuously. 2. It also makes a crackling sound, like firecrackers.

A technician was sent out by defy and these issues were resolved.

In October 2023 it did not want to fill up water for the wash cycle and was showing an EA error message. A technician was sent out again and the issue was resolved. It is now January 2024 and the machine is not washing at all. It fills up water and the timer counts down but it doesn’t move. I will never purchase this brand again. Poor quality and a waste of money.
