3 year old oven door fell on floor when opening the oven at 200 degrees celsius

I baked a dish in the defy oven and opened the door to take it out. In a split of a second the oven door broke at the top hinch and fell to the ground and the glass of the door shattered all over the place. It was extremely dangerous if for instance there was a baby crawling in front of the stove. How can this happen to a 3 year old stove, especially when nothing was done from my side to make this happen, for instance no looking after the stove well. The Defy employee who phoned me said they ask R750 only to come out. I feel they have to rush to my home to find out how could an oven door broke like that - was it not SABS approved?
