Debtlite Solutions Requesting unauthorized credit reports on behalf of customers.

I received a call from an agent from Debtlite solutions on ***( Debt review company as per True Caller) . The agent REFUSED to give me his name after the call when I mentioned that I am going to report him.

This agent called me and told me he is from a company that helps customers pay lower fees on their credit/loans. While I was listening to him he asked me to confirm my name and Id. I said thats me. He then then told me he is going to do a request for my credit report on my behalf, which I didn't give consent to. I then received the below sms. Without my consent.

"This notification serves to confirm that I (my full name inserted here) with id number ( my ID inserted here) gave consent to Debtlite Solutions on 2024-02-06 to request/obtain a Credit report on my behalf with the objective to perform an affordability assessment relating to my current Debt exposure“

This is totally unacceptable for agents to request credit reports they are not authorized to. When I asked the agent why is he sending me messages because I didn't authorize him to do so. He said I confirmed my names. I then asked him did I give you permission to go and request my credit records without my permission? He said because I said those were my details it means I have him authority to do so.

This kind of business has to stop where companies call customers and falsely acquire people's information without their consent.
