Utterly disgusted and disappointed
If I could give a rating of zero stars to this company I would.
I signed up for debt review with them 5 years ago. The contract stated that they would negotiate premiums paid and the term and they'd be responsible for all legal matters. In the statement I've been receiving yearly it states 'With regard to the balance of your indebtedness with the individual Credit Providers, please take note that differences may be attributed to the following (a) your Credit Provider s system may not have been adjusted to take the impact of the agreed Consent or Court Order into account (b) Hyphen PDA received the initial indebtedness from your Debt Counsellor, which was based on a Certificate of Balance or a Contract. This should be rectified by your Debt Counsellor in your annual review, which is required in terms of the Act.'
Now I would like to provide the details of the horrific level of service I have received: I was due to finish my Debt Review May 2020, I got a call from Debt Busters in Movember 2019 asking whether I would like to exit sooner by paying a higher premium, exiting February 2020. I indicated 'Yes'.
I had however noticed my balances with FNB were looking high and that it does not seem that the amount would be settled by February 2020. I queried this with Debt Busters and a whole month later (February 2020) surprisingly when I'm due to exit I'm told I owe larger balances and would only be completing my debt review late 2021.
I confronted this with Debt Busters insisting these amounts cannot be correct as my hyphen statements did not correspond with the balances they were saying I owe. After further investigation Debt Busters informed the FNB balances were incorrect and too high and I was made a promise that the incorrect balance issue was resolved and I'd be exiting July 2020.
I got another call from debt busters asking if I'd like to continue with credit life insurance once I complete my debt review July 2020, I advised no, but can I combine my June and July premiums so I may complete my debt review June 2020.
Surprise surprise I am meant to finish this month and out of nowhere new balances from FNB again. From owing R0 I owe R20 000 again? After being assured that the balances were resolved and corrected.
It takes 3 to 5 days for a consultant to contact you, they drop calls while you're still speaking and seem to have no sense of customer service. They are *********** and irresponsible in handling something that has a huge effect on a person's life.
I had to notice there were incorrect balances yet they promise to make sure your balances are reviewed yearly.
I am beyond disgusted with this pathetic excuse for a registered financial company.
