Title: DebtBusters Ignoring Cancellation and Failing to Provide Breakdown of R8000
Title: DebtBusters Ignoring Cancellation and Failing to Provide Breakdown of R8000
I am extremely unhappy with DebtBusters. In December 2023, I requested a debt review quotation and agreed to the quoted amount. A week later, DebtBusters increased the monthly repayment by almost R5000, which I did not agree to. I cancelled the process immediately and informed them I would continue with DebtSolutions 4 You instead.
Despite this, I was told to urgently pay R8000 to avoid losing my house, which I paid on 7 January 2024. Since then, both I and DebtSolutions 4 You have emailed repeatedly for the transfer documents and a breakdown of the R8000 payment, but DebtBusters has ignored all communication.
They also issued invalid invoices for February–April 2024, even though my account was cancelled. My Hyphen PDA statement (6 Nov 2025) shows no creditor payments or allocation of the R8000.
I demand a full breakdown of the R8000, withdrawal of the invalid invoices, and immediate transfer of my documents to DebtSolutions 4 U. I will escalate this to the NCR.
I hereby formally dispute the allocation of the R8000 payment reflected on the attached statement. I cancelled my application before any agreement with DebtBusters was concluded or activated, and therefore no legal authority existed for the distribution of my funds.
Please note that the payment of R8000 was made in good faith during the quotation stage only. Since I withdrew before finalisation, the funds should not have been allocated, and I therefore demand a full refund of the R8000.
Kindly treat this matter as urgent and provide written confirmation of the steps that will be taken to resolve it.
Please also confirm in writing that DebtBusters has been notified of this dispute and that they are aware of my request for refund.
