Terrible experience

Been with them for years, however my situation was explained to them various times. I was not allowed a time frame. Now that I need to be reactivated again onto the system as it would be easier for me as they have my details and account details I am refused and will be held responsible for costs. I am divorced and don't have an income and this had led to non payments. THEY ARE REFUSING TO ASSIST ME!!!!!!

I have 2 kids I do get paid maintenance and will pay my debt I just need help until such time that I have found employment again.

When I asked for assistance....this is what I received from them...

Dear Belinda Kleynhans,

We acknowledge receipt of your e-mail, to that end, please note that, our services are currently suspended due to non payment.

Please see attached Form 17.W for your perusal, we, thus, advise that you make direct payment arrangements for the remaining accounts.

The suspension means that we will remain the Debt Counsellor on file, until you settle all the accounts that you had under debt review, upon which we will issue you with a Clearance Certificate.

Alternatively, we will issue you with a Form 17.7 when you move to another debt counsellor.

Please also note that, your MFC account is terminated, and all efforts to get the account reinstated under debt review were not successful.

This then meant that, the arrangement we negotiated with them on your behalf is no longer in effect and MFC may revert back to the original installment, or deduct funds directly from your account.

Thus, it is better to make alternative arrangements for the payment of the account as if we continue to pay it without a recognized arrangement, it will be the same as just throwing away funds as they are expecting much more.

Please also be advised that, in order for our offices to recall the suspension, you will need to provide proof that you had been making payment towards MFC and that the account is now up to date.

Otherwise, our management will not agree to the recall as the account will have accumulated more arrears, thus, making it difficult trying to mitigate on your behalf as debt review is a payment arrangement.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.
