Difficulty withdrawing from debt review and poor communication

I contacted Debt Busters after seeing their details listed on ClearScore as a company that could assist with improving my credit profile. After submitting my details, I was contacted and asked to consent to a credit check, which I did. On 24 October 2025, I was informed that some accounts appeared on my credit profile that I did not recognise. I was advised that this would be explained and resolved during the process. After reflecting on the interaction, I realised that the process being followed would result in me being placed under debt review, which I did not want. On 28 October 2025, I sent an email clearly stating that I did not consent to being placed under debt review. Despite this, I later received communication from creditors and requests to approve a DebiCheck mandate. I declined these and again stated that I did not want to proceed. On 25 November 2025, I discovered that I had nonetheless been placed under debt review. Due to ongoing lack of response to my emails and concerns about how the matter was handled, I decided to transfer my file to another debt counselling company. For more than two months, I struggled to receive assistance with the withdrawal process. After posting a review on HelloPeter, Debt Busters responded the same day and sent me an affidavit to complete. I was informed that once the affidavit was returned, the Form 17.2 withdrawal document would be sent to me. I returned the completed affidavit on Friday, 30 January 2026. As at today, I have not received the promised withdrawal form and have not received further communication. My concern is not only the delay, but the lack of consistent communication throughout this process. I am still waiting for the Form 17.2 withdrawal documentation to be provided so that my file can be transferred. I would appreciate clear communication and the completion of the withdrawal process as promised.
