Debtbusters SA or rather Hopebusters SA
Hello everyone, I was led to believe that Debtbusters were numerous uno in SA's debt review industry. I was bamboozled and it all turned out to be a ploy. Numerous uno my #@$%$@. First off they go after all the poor souls who have fallen behind on payments with such gusto you'd swear you were watching an episode of siyajola 9/9. Then they sweet talk you with such s**** any **** would be proud of. After you had been hoodwinked into joining the program, and after the first installment has been deducted, they leave you to your own devices. From then on, any enquiry you make is met with "we will contact you shortly". One of these so called agents has been dropping a " Hello there Mr Bosman, what time will be convenient to call you, or should I call you tomorrow? " for 7 days straight. Like a fool I have been answering with 'tomorrow anytime is fine with me'. I can almost see the agent smirking and giggling everytime I am foolish enough to reply and eagerly await her call. Needless to say, that call is still yet to come.
Before joining Debtbusters I was receiving calls, emails, messages, the works from them. To this day I am still paying "aftercare fees", whose value I do not see on my side. Well Sir, this is after and I need to be cared for.
To anyone wishing to take the debt review path, please do not let yourselves be bamboozled by these self serving companies, preying on our misfortunes. In their eyes we are just another money making scheme, nothing more. Shop around, do your homework much better than I did. If you believe that Debtbusters is the way to go, trust me, you cannot be more WRONG, and you can do much better. My credit card accounts are still active, and any monthly deduction goes to paying monthly fees and interest. Subsequently loans from the same bank is accumulating interest due to non payment. These Debtbusters geniuses told me to open a new bank account into which my salary will go and where they will make their deduction. This was only done to protect their interest, the monthly deduction. I could go on and on but this whole thing just vexes me. Thanks for your time.
