Bad final steps at the end of paying your debt off

I have been a client with DebtBusters. It was mind numbing on how many calls i had to make everytime to correct balances and get paid up letters everytime something was paid. I am know debt free and with no assistance what so ever to how to clear everything and who to contact. Smartcents is still showing massive amounts outstanding to creditors. why when taken on as a client does Debtbusters not complete the process. From beginning to end this should be handled. Accounts paid, then clear you at NCR and then ensure all Creditors black listing etc is taken off then you are done as a client. I paid a monthly fee to them and at the end I did all the work. How do you as a normal person who does not deal with itc ETC know who to contact to get your creditors to clear you and who to contact all at the relevant itc check points. Really disgusted how this final steps has been handled.
